DESCRIPTION:Butterfly season may have passed\, though we’re keeping hope alive to potentially see one\, even though it’s Fall season.  If we don’t see any butterflies\, we’re likely to see a number of birds. \nWe’ll go on an easy nature walk loop within the Wissahickon while keeping our eyes open for birds and butterflies and/or other fluttering creatures that may be out and about. If time permits\, we’ll also guide participants in a nature scavenger hunt.  To keep the butterfly and bird theme going\, kiddos will be able to color a butterfly window cling suncatcher (OR a decoratie birdhouse). \nSTART TIME: 11:00am (Please arrive on-time\, since we cannot guarantee waiting for late-comers for the nature walk portion.) \nREGISTRATION: Strongly suggested\, since registering allows us to share last-minute cancelation and/or change in programming details with you. Should you have any issues registering\, please contact us at 866-878-3595. \nMeet Location:  Wissahickon Environmental Center (also known as\, “The Tree House”).  The Tree House will NOT be open\, though waiting in the vicinity of the parking lot\, near the Tree House\, or on the porch of the Tree House is fine. \nSuggested Parking: Park in the upper lot\, located at 990 W. Northwestern Ave.\, Phila\, PA.  Once parked\, look for a directional sign that says\, “Wissahickon Environmental Center (or The Tree House)” and follow the path.  If you do not see our Educator\, please contact us at 866-878-3595.
