It’s the WINTER season, which sometimes hides some of the natural beauty we take for granted in the warmer months. However, we’ll be offering a leisurely scavenger hunt to uncover nature-based items that are still around in this colder season.
As kiddos take time to play or as we walk along the trail, we’ll see what we see, hear sounds of nature, and hopefully find some the images on our scavenger hunt sheets. Upon finishing our scavenger hunt (or play time), we’ll hang by the playground for some decorative fun. Kids will receive a wooden leaf ornament, which they can color and take home to hang for the holidays.
Start Time: 11am (If you arrive after 11:30am, you may miss us because we’ll be on the scavenger hunt stroll.)
Meet Location: In the vicinity of the Cobbs Creek Nature Playground, around 700 Cobbs Creek Parkway. Look for a Let’s Go Outdoors Educator in the vicinity of the playground area. If you don’t see them, please contact us at 866-878-3595.
Important Info: This program is completely outdoors, no bathroom access. If the temperature forecast is below 50 degrees, we will notify registrants of cancellation or alternate location.
Parking: Free street parking.
