Music Monday: Sound Loop, Fun Play, Wind Chimes

Join us for a some nature sounds and “make our own musical sounds” around FDR Park.  Participants will get to know the scenic landscape of FDR Park, via walking around the pond loop, where we’ll make intermittent stops to hear the sounds of nature, use basic wooden instruments to make our own sounds, and listen to a bit of music via recordings.  Once we’re finished with our musical loop around the pond, we’ll head over to the playground so kid participants can move to their own rhythm at the playground.

Upon arrival at the playground, kid participants will have a chance to color/decorate their own miniature wind chime, which they can take home to hear the musical sounds of the winds breeze.
