It’s February and the Valentine’s love is in the air!
Join us for this treat of a session, since we’ll be checking out bugs and looking at a couple skulls – nothing scary or that kids can’t handle. So, don’t freak out, even though we know bugs may not be everyone’s favorite creatures to love, and skulls may sound creepy. Our knowledgeable, fun, and friendly Educator will be guiding this session in a manner where participants will feel comfortable and likely curious to learn about these things of nature.
Participants will be guided along one of Heinz’s easy trails, and while taking in the scenery, our Educator will seek out a few critter friends for all to see and/or learn more about. In addition, either before, during, or after the trail walk, you’ll get to see remnants or remakes of animal skulls that our Educator will also share details and/or discuss.
Before leaving, kiddos will have a chance to color/create their own bug masks, to wear and take home.
Start Time: 11am (Please be on-time, since we cannot guarantee waiting for late attendees.)
Meeting Location: John Heinz Visitor Center entryway. Look for the Let’s Go Outdoors Educator in the vicinity. If you do not see them, please contact us at 866-878-3595.
