Archery (Mini-Session) & Scenic Waterway Walk

Join us for an 11am Archery mini-session lesson during Let’s Go Outdoors’ “Drop-In Archery” program at Pennypack on the Delaware.  Starts promptly at 11am.

You’ll have fun learning how to SAFELY use a bow and arrow to shoot a target, with the added bonus of getting to know a local park/organization – Pennypack on the Delaware Park (PoD).  NOTE: This is NOT a full archery lesson – it is a mini-lesson experience allowing participants to try archery.  Your full time for archery will be 15-30 minutes, depending on the number of people registered and/or waiting ahead of you.  You will be led through safety instructions and brief archery technique(s) to then have the opportunity to shoot 5-8 arrows.  NOTE:  Youth archery participants MUST be aged 6 years or older.

After the archery mini-session, you’ll be led on a scenic waterway walk to take in the views of the Delaware River.  Our Educator will toss in a few waterway tidbits for you to get to know about this local watershed.

Meeting Location:  7801 State Rd., Philadelphia, PA – YOU MUST follow the entrance road ALL THE WAY around to where the soccer fields are, which is past the baseball fields and the gazebo.  Should you not see us, please feel free to reach out to us.
