Join us for an 11:30am Archery mini-session lesson during Let’s Go Outdoors’ “Drop-In Archery” program at Awbury Recreation Center. Starts promptly at 11:30am.
You’ll have fun learning how to SAFELY use a bow and arrow to shoot a target, with the added bonus of being guided along the trails of Awbury Arboretum’s Adventurewoods, allowing you to get to know a local outdoor/nature space – Awbury Arboretum.
NOTE: This is NOT a full archery lesson – it is a mini-lesson experience allowing participants to try archery. Your full time for archery will be 15-20 minutes, depending on the number of people registered and/or waiting ahead of you. You will be led through safety instructions and brief archery technique(s) to then have the opportunity to shoot 5-8 arrows. NOTE: Youth archery participants MUST be aged 10 years or older.
After the archery mini-session, you’ll be led on a nature trail walk to take in the outdoor surroundings of Awbury Arboretums Adventurewoods area. Our Educator will offer loaner kid-friendly binoculars for birding and guide attendees in a nature scavenger hunt.
Start Time: 11:30am (Please be on-time, since we cannot guarantee waiting for late attendees.)
